Did you know you can banish the signs of ageing such as crow's feet, a sagging chin and a wrinkled brow by spending just ten minutes a day doing facial exercises?
That's an investment of just 1% of your waking day with the guaranteed return of achieving a continually more youthful
looking you!
It is pretty much common knowledge that exercising the muscles of your body will have an effect on your appearance, but the question of whether facial exercises work still seems to be a common one.
I have actually read a comment which was something like '...if facial exercises really worked then everyone would be doing them...' but in the same context, we know exercising our bodies will result in everyone being slim and toned – and yet so many people still don't do it!
The same is true of our faces. Facial exercises will work if we practice them and as our facial muscles are smaller than most other muscles of the body, even a small improvement in tone will be very noticeable.
Unlike the rest of the body, the facial muscles are attached directly to the skin (allowing you to pull expressions), forming an inter-woven mesh-like structure
upon which the skin lies.
You may be surprised to know that there are many facial muscles which you have probably never used on a regular basis, and those which you do use are rarely exercised enough to keep them strong and toned. If you only ever used one arm, what do you think would happen to the other? It's not rocket science, yet so many people are sceptical about the benefits of practicing facial exercises, but really it makes perfect sense!
The bright plump complexion of youth is constantly restored due to a natural cell regeneration process, but as we age, any muscles not kept active will slowly stretch and sag (due to gravity), and begin to waste away (due to lack of use), taking the skin with them, resulting in a loose, lined appearance.
No amount of surgery or application of creams is going to strengthen and regenerate this underlying muscular structure which ultimately supports and gives form to our skin.
A surgical facelift stretches the skin over the facial structure. However, this result is frequently temporary and has to be repeated periodically to maintain smooth skin, often resulting in a tight, unnatural look.
In my opinion it is just a quick fix which does nothing to address the cause of facial ageing signs.
If you were to wallpaper over a wall where the plaster kept slipping and sagging underneath, no amount of stretching and tightening would keep the wallpaper flat for long and the same is true of the skin on your face.
The same thought applies to expensive skin creams which promise many anti-ageing miracles. You may be paying an average of around $90 a pop for something which may temporarily diminish the appearance of some fine lines and make your skin feel soft and smooth, but which ultimately can never strengthen the underlying structural facial muscles which are key to retaining a lifted more youthful look!
For this very reason, facial exercises can save you thousands of dollars!
Unlike surgical procedures and anti-ageing creams, where the results fade with time, facial exercises will continue to improve your appearance for an indefinite period. Continue to exercise and your face will
continue to improve. Further more, once you have learnt the correct techniques, there will be absolutely no further financial outlay.
By investing in a facial exercise programme you will have a safer, far cheaper and proven way of helping to banish wrinkles, jowls, and other ageing facial characteristics literally at your finger tips!
Facial exercises are a proven method of improving and re-building the muscles of the face, strengthening the connective tissues and restoring the tighter, smoother look of youth, without the dangers associated with surgery or the unknown absorption of chemicals contained in anti-ageing creams and serums.
Strengthening and toning the muscles found in your face and neck using specialized resistance techniques;
smooths crow's feet and wrinkles around the eyes
lifts the brow
plumps cheeks
reduces upper lip lines and nasal labial folds
firms and tones the jawline, chin and neck areas
Techniques to relax your muscles and release facial tension also help to break the cycle of habitual muscle contraction, i.e. frowning or pursing your lips, which often lead to the development of deep set lines.
One of the first improvements you will notice when you begin practicing your facial exercises,
is the condition of your skin.
As you exercise, the manipulation of the muscles and tissues of your face will stimulate the circulation of both the blood and the lymphatic systems. This will
provide the skin and muscles with essential cell regenerating oxygen and nutrients
dispose of unwanted toxins and waste products
resulting in
an even skin tone which is clearer, fresher looking and blemish free
reduced puffiness and dark circles in the under eye areas
It is of course important you practice the right exercises, ones which isolate the different muscle groups and allow you to exercise them using some kind of resistance technique. Providing resistance for your muscles to work against helps them to develop at a quicker rate than by just tensing and relaxing.
I have been practicing facial exercises for over 25 years and during this time I have developed and designed a programme which I believe to contain some of the very best facial exercises to lift, smooth and strengthen your facial appearance. The use of micro exercises which use muscle resistance techniques on isolated facial muscle groups will achieve visible results within the first six weeks and will continue to improve and lift your face the more you do them.
I have been teaching this programme in a face-to-face environment with great success and have now decided to make it available on DVD.
